Tucson, Arizona

Since moving to Phoenix, I’ve been passively curious about Tucson. Last week I decided to come discover the city since I love just over 2hrs away. My plan was to hike Mount Lemmon, go to some thrift stores and see what I could find and most definitely a game of golf at some point. Sadly, there was (or still is a fire on the mountain) and like countless others I was rerouted by the police. I found my way to Sabino Canyon which I heard about from a couple of guys at the bar the night I got into town.

One thing I will say is that this is a very friendly place. It sucked for me that the weekend I came almost everything was closed for the holiday or they do not operate on Sunday. I walked downtown and found my way to the loudest place which was the Hi Fi Kitchen and Cocktails. I am not a huge fan of bar food, but I had the meatball sliders and they were not too bad. Now, I love to sit at the bar and I quickly got into some fun conversations with a guy appropriately named Big Mike ( I am 5 ft 3 and Mike is 6 Ft 9) His friends joined in and it’s always fun making new friends, so if you do find yourself alone in Tucson, trust me when i tell you that you will not be lonely 🙂

Hiking the Sabino Canyon was challenging because of the heat… I left the hotel later than i should assuming i would be going to Mt Lemmon which is cooler than the other mountains in the area.

Here are some of the pictures I took.

I hope when and if you find yourself in Tucson, you’ll enjoy it as I have the last couple of days.

Tell next time…La vie est Belle
